Scrapbooking

New pages are in progress, but here's some some new artwork in the meantime (click the thumbnail):

Houdini

A small update today. First, there's a new page up:

Lackadaisy Houdini

There'll be more soon...

-----------------------------------

Of somewhat lesser interest, I've also replaced some older pages with updated art:

Introduction page #1 -- previously there was a drawing of the riverboat "The Admiral" right in the top row of panels. While this boat did exist in 1920, it was named "The Albatross" at the time and had not yet received its sleek, metal art deco veneer, so this was a historical inaccuracy I felt needed to be resolved. The drawing has been replaced by a Streckfus Steamer - something much more characteristic of the St. Louis Mississippi riverfront at the time. These "infernal noise machines" were famous for featuring live musical acts in the early days of jazz as they traveled up and down river.

Lackadaisy Rumrunner -- The artwork for this particular page was simply so old and so out of sync with the rest of the pages, it needed to be refurbished. It's easy to lose sight of how much unwitting evolving (or devolving, depending on who you ask) artistic style and character designs can undergo over a span of time.

Wherewithal

Two new pages are up this week:

Lackadaisy Quacksalver
Lackadaisy Wherewithal

Don't mind the Marx Brothers reference.  Sometimes I can't help myself.

More soon!
